Gettysburg scored early in the second half to break a 1-all tie and defeat Elizabethtown, 2-1.

• Maddie McWhinney staked the Blue Jays to a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the 30th minute, Elizabethtown cleared a ball off the baseline on the right side and played it into the box where Ava Whisten one-touched a pass to Maddie McWhinney to finish for a 1-0 lead. Gettysburg needed just 75 seconds to respond. Off a corner kick,
Zoe Want (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) played a ball from the right wing that got all the way through the box to
Payton Waller (Holly Springs, N.C./Holly Springs) on the back post. Waller found the back of the net to tie the game at the 31:13 mark.
• Nearly five minutes into the second half,
Jane Daiutolo collected the ball and made a move around her defender before blasting a shot from a yard outside the box that soared into the side netting on the far side and the defense withstood a late attack from the Blue Jays for the 2-1 win.

• Elizabethtown finished with a 6-5 edge in shots and 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.
