Sabrina Post (Poquoson, Va./Hampton Roads Academy) broke open the scoring in the final minute of the third quarter.

FOR THE FOES

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Despite a 10-0 advantage in shots and 5-0 advantage in penalty corners over the first 30 minutes, Gettysburg could not break through the Denison defense backstopped by a solid effort from goalkeeper Athena Joannou.
• After most of the third quarter was played between the 25s, Jillian Somers (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) was final able to break into the circle from the right side. She fed Sabrina Post, who was able to tip the ball home for a 1-0 lead with 46 seconds left in the period.
• Off a corner that was played to Morgan Cherry, the senior fed classmate Brinsley Rushe (Darien, Conn./Darien), who gave it right back to Cherry. She then chipped the ball over the goalie and into the upper net for a 2-0 lead just 2:24 into the fourth quarter. On a restart three minutes later, Megan Edwards knocked the ball in front of the cage from just outside the circle and Emma Gebhart finished to cut the deficit to 2-1. In the 56th minute, Cassie DeBlieck (Grafton, Mass./Grafton) took the ball away and fed Bella Bonazinga (Spring Lake, N.J./Wall) in the center of the circle and she finished high for her team-leading eighth goal of the season.

THE INSIDE STORY
• The Bullets finished with advantages of 18-2 in shots and 7-0 in penalty corners.
