• Phoebe Garfield tallied the lone goal of the game for the Fords.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• After
Zoe Want put a shot from distance just over the crossbar a minute into the game, Olivia Daulerio played a ball across the box that Phoebe Garfield was able to clean up and put home for a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute.
• Gettysburg carried play for most of the next 60 minutes, which included a Want offering from the top of the box in the 60th minute that Lily Buyer made a diving save on to preserve the lead.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 7-3 advantage in shots and 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
• Both Lily Buyer and
Alex Jurow (Teaneck, N.J./Parsippany Hills) made two saves in the game.
