York (Pa.) used a goal in the 14th minute to take an early lead on Gettysburg and then withstood a late push to hold on for the 1-0 win.

FOR THE FOES
• Abby Brown had the lone goal for the Spartans.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Abby Brown staked York to a 1-0 lead at the 13:23 mark of the first half.
• Gettysburg outshot the Spartans 7-5 in the second half, including ripping off three shots in the final 5:19 in an attempt at the equalizer. Only one made it to Joss Metz in goal, however, to give her six saves on the night.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with an 11-9 edge in shots while York had the 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
