THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked ninth in the latest D3hoops.com poll, used a late 12-1 run to open up a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter to defeat Dickinson 60-41 and remain undefeated in conference play.
THE LEADERS

Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep School) led the Bullets with her fifth double-double of the season, grabbing 11 rebounds to go with 16 points.

Alayna Arnolie (Vienna, Va./James Madison) netted a game-high 17 points and chipped in three assists and two steals.

• Tied at 7-all after two Victoria Zerbe free throws,
Tatum Murray (Newton, Mass./Newton South) hit a 3-pointer from the wing for a 10-7 advantage with 3:02 to play in the opening quarter. After an Ella Smith layup directly off an inbounds, Murray drove and hit a layup then
Kimberly Hopkins (Baldwin, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) pulled up on the baseline for a 14-9 lead. Lizzie McGrath beat the first-quarter buzzer with a long jumper to make it a three-point game after 10 minutes.
• After Dickinson pulled within 16-14, Gettysburg responded with a
Skylar Reale (Warren, N.J./Morristown Beard) hit a free throw and
Shinya Lee converted a dump-down pass for a 24-19 lead with 6:14 showing. After Zerbe and
Alayna Arnolie traded baskets, McGrath canned a triple to cut the margin back to two. The Bullets, however, scored the final six points of the half to open up a 27-19 lead at the break.
• Twice Arnolie pull-up jumpers stretched the Gettysburg advantage to 12. A Marion three-point play cut the margin to 38-29 with 2:26 to play, cutting the lead to single digits for the first time since 5:45 showing. After a Lee basket pushed the lead back to 11, Marion hit a triple to make it a 40-32 game but Lee hit the second of two free throws and Reale scored through contact to make it a 43-32 advantage after three quarters.
• With the lead at 44-34,
Ava O'Neil (Chevy Chase, Md./St. John's College) scored five straight points to open up a 15-point advantage, including swishing a wing trey with 6:01 to play. Five more from Arnolie helped extend the run to 12-1 over nearly six minutes, pushing the lead above 20 for the first time with 3:05 remaining. The teams then traded baskets the rest of the way en route to the 19-point final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg outrebounded its hosts by a 41-34 margin and held the Red Devils to just 28.6 percent shooting.
