THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had its top two runners finish in under 26 minutes to lead the way to a sixth-place finish at its own Aubrey Shenk Invitational. The Bullets scored 213 points at the meet that featured 34 complete teams and 316 finishing runners.
THE LEADERS
•
Maddon McNicholas (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) led the Bullets with a 28th-place finishing with a time of 25:53.2.
FOR THE FOES
• St. Bonaventure's Clay Peets won the individual title with a course-record time of 23:56.8
• Lebanon Valley won the team title with 56 points while the Bonnies were second with 68 points.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Asher Leuzzi (Weston, Conn./Weston) crossed the line 35th with a time of 25:59.4. It was the first time Gettysburg had two runners break 26 minutes in the same race on its Battlefield course.

Colin Carpenter (Ridgefield, Conn./Wooster School) was 52nd with a time of 26:33 while
Jack Rogers (Gaithersburg, Md./ Good Counsel) finished 57th with a time of 26:39.3.
•
Mick Lorenger (Alexandria, Va./Thomas Edison) placed 71st with a time of 26:58.2.
• John Murphy was 88th (27:18.4) while
Ben Cole (Wilmington, Del./Archmere Academy) was 134th (28:04.4).

Jayden Craig (139th, 28:07.3),
Baxter Merriam (142nd, 28:09.1),
Andrew Ersin (162nd, 28:37.9),
Matthew Kurek (192nd, 29:21.4),
Matthew Wagner (198th, 29:30.3) rounded out the Bullet competitors.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 316 runners completed the 8,000-meter distance.

Maddon McNicholas turned in the Bullets No. 4 time on the course while
Asher Leuzzi's time ranks fifth.
•
Colin Carpenter (12th) and
Jack Rogers (14th) were also in the Bullets' top-15 all-time at the Gettysburg Battlefield.
