THE REST OF THE STORY
• Muhlenberg opened up an 11-7 lead in the opening set before three
Alycen Radolovic kills keyed a 6-2 run that tied the set at 13-all. An Andrea Romero-Agosto block put the Mules back in front by one but
Gianna Galli (Demarest, N.J./Northern Valley Demarest) answered with a kill and Radolovic and
Mary Huegel combined for a block to give Gettysburg a 15-14 edge. The Mules twice tied the set again but
Emma Bradshaw (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) sandwiched a Huegel ace with two kills to open up a 21-17 led en route to the 25-21 victory.
• Trailing 4-1 early in the second set, Radolovic knocked down a kill to spark an 8-0 run to take a 9-4 lead. The Bullets then closed the set on 12-2 run to win 25-9.
Kendall Erpenbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) capped the set with an ace – one of three during the clinching run.
• Gettysburg jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the third set and never trailed to complete the sweep. Another run of four straight points extended the lead to 16-6 and the lead grew as large as 12 on back-to-back Radolovic kills to make it 20-8.
