Gettysburg held possession in its offensive end for most of the first half, netting a tally in the 34th minute and then held on for a 1-0 win over Washington (Md.) to claim a spot in next week's Centennial Conference tournament.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After holding possession, Gettysburg played a long ball into the box that bounced off a defender and right back to
Jane Daiutolo at the top of the box. The senior blasted a high shot that went off the keeper's hands and in for the only tally of the game.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 12-4 advantage in shots and 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
• The Bullets entered the game needing a victory to clinch a spot in the conference tournament and earned the No. 5 seed with the win. Gettysburg will travel to fourth-seeded Franklin & Marshall one of two first-round games on Tuesday.
