Gettysburg opens quest for CC crown on Tuesday

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg will travel to Lancaster, Pa., for one of the two first-round games of 2025 Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer championship tournament on Tuesday. Game time is 7 p.m.

In the six-team format, the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds host the opening round. The fifth-seeded Bullets (7-8-3, 4-5-1 CC) travels to fourth-seeded Franklin & Marshall (10-4-4, 5-3-2 CC) in one of the first-round games. Third-seeded Dickinson (12-4-3, 7-2-1 CC) hosts sixth-seeded Washington (10-6-2, 4-5-1 CC) in the day's other game, which will also begin at 7 p.m.

The field will be reseeded for the semifinals. The higher-seeded remaining team will travel to second-seeded Johns Hopkins (13-4-1, 8-2 CC) in one semifinal on Friday. The lower-seeded remaining advances to top-seeded Swarthmore (13-2-3, 9-0-1 CC) in the other semifinal. The game at Swarthmore will begin at 7 p.m. while the game at Johns Hopkins begins at 6 p.m.

The semifinal winners will advance to Sunday's championship game, which will be played at the site of the highest remaining seed. Game time will be announced following the conclusion of Friday's semifinals.

Tickets will be sold for each round of the CC tournament and will be available soon on the Centennial ticketing homepage. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students age 6 through high school and senior citizens. Children five and under as well as students and staff from conference institutions are free.

The tournament's champion will earn the CC's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III tournament, slated to begin on Nov. 15. The NCAA field will be announced on Monday at 11 a.m.

The Bullets are seeking their sixth conference title and first since 2004. It is the 20th tournament appearance for Gettysburg. The Bullets also in search of their ninth NCAA tournament bid.

In the regular-season meeting between the Bullets and Diplomats, Franklin & Marshall recorded a 1-0 on Oct. 15 in Gettysburg.

Senior Jane Daiutolo (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) leads Gettysburg with seven goals and 15 points on the season. Sophomore Kylee Gust (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Marion) is second on the team with four goals, three assists and 11 points. Junior Stephanie Balerna (Pennington, N.J./The Pennington School) paces the squad with five assists to go with two goals for nine points.

Junior Alex Jurow (Teaneck, N.J./Parsippany Hills) has played 1445 minutes in goal with a 1.43 goals-against average and .701 save percentage. She has four individual shutouts on the year.
