Gettysburg closes regular season with sweep of Bryn Mawr

THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg closed out the regular season with a 3-0 win over Bryn Mawr, hitting .386 in the match.

THE LEADERS
Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) led the Bullets 13 kills and just one error in 14 attempts to hit .857.
Kendall Erpenbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) contributed 21 assists, two aces, four digs and a block.

FOR THE FOES
• Adelaide Grace led the Owls with four kills and three digs.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• After four ties and four lead changes in the opening set, Alycen Radolovic (Willoughby, Ohio/Beaumont School) knocked down a kill for a 17-16 edge and Kendall Erpenbeck followed with an ace to give Gettysburg the lead for good. The lead grew to 22-17 on an Ava Grall (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Pointe Vedra) kill before Radolovic finished off a 25-19 win with three straight knockdowns.
• Holding a 4-3 edge in the second set, a Radolovic block sparked a 10-0 run take control of the second set. Nala Shearer (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) contributed four aces in the run, including three in a row. The Bullets won the second set, 25-9.
• The third set started off close before back-to-back Mary Huegel kills turned a 9-8 edge into an 11-8 lead and sparked a 5-0 run to key a 25-16 win and the sweep.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg earned the No. 5 seed in next week's Centennial Conference tournament and will travel to No. 4 Swarthmore on Wednesday.
Alycen Radolovic added nine kills while Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) had seven.
