THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg finished fourth at the Alvernia PLEX Shootout earning 50.5 points. The Bullets secured two top-three finishes and an additional three more finishing in the top-five solidifying their place.
THE LEADERS
- Gabrielle Thiry (Lancaster, Pa., Lancaster Country Day School) finished first in the 3,000 with a season-best and Centennial-Conference (CC)-qualifying time of 10:33.98. The CC-qualifying time ranks seventh in program history.
- Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa., Perkiomen Valley) followed behind Thiry finishing second in the 3,000 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 10:40.28. The CC-qualifying time ranks tenth in program history.
- Olivia Taylor (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., Hendrick Hudson) placed fourth in the pole vault with a personal-best and CC-qualifying vault of 3.00 meters.
- Georgia Mercer (Elkton, Md., Rising Sun) came in seventh in the long jump with a personal-best and CC-qualifying leap of 4.53 meters. She also had a season-best time of 11.58 seconds finishing 11th in the 60-meter hurdles prelims, however she did not start in the final.
FOR THE FOES
- Dickinson won the meet with 121 points followed by Stevens in second with 84 and Elizabethtown in third with 55 points.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Jenna Weylman (Walpole, Mass., Walpole) finished sixth in the 200 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 27.90 seconds. She also qualified with a fifth place finish in the 60 meter prelims with a CC-qualifying time of 8.36 seconds while finishing sixth in the finals with another CC-qualifying time of 8.37 seconds.
- Julia Brock (Moorestown, N.J., Moorestown) placed sixth with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 1:05.37 in the 400. She also had a season-best finish in the 200 placing 37th with a time of 31.07 seconds.
- Franny Proto (Old Tappan, N.J., Northern Valley Regional at Old Tappan) came in sixth in the 3,000 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 11:00.80.
- Eliza Hoover (Mahwah, N.J., Academy of the Holy Angels) ran a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 1:05.64 finishing eighth in the 400.
- Lea Del Grippo (Cinnaminson, N.J., Cinnaminson) placed 10th in the 60-meter hurdles prelims with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 10.84 seconds however, she did not start in the finals. She claimed another CC-qualifying mark of 4.45 meters placing eighth in the long jump. Del Grippo also came in 38th with a season-best time of 31.78 seconds in the 200.
- Lillian Boudreau (Adams, Mass., Hoosac Valley) finished 10th with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 28.25 seconds in the 200.
- Theresa Ditri (Huntingdon Valley, Pa., William Tennent) came in 13th in the 400 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 1:07.57. She also earned a 23rd place finish in the 200 with a seasonbest time of 29.70 seconds.
- Bella Yardeni (Port Washington, N.Y., Paul D. Schreiber) earned a seventh place finish in the 400 with a CC-qualifying time of 1:05.55. She also finished the 200 in 19th with a season-best time of 29.23 seconds.
- Bethany Rolley (Huntingdon, Pa., Huntingdon Area) vaulted a CC-qualifying height of 2.85 meters to place seventh in the pole vault.
- Kailey Schissler (Pasadena, Md., Chesapeake) finished eighth in the high jump with a CC-qualifying leap of 1.42 meters. She also finished 15th in the 200 with a time of 28.94 seconds.
THE INSIDE STORY
- Ashlyn Miller (Martinsburg, W.Va., Martinsburg) hit a new personal-best with a throw of 8.91 meters garnering a 21st place finish in the weight throw. She also threw for 8.64 meters in the shot put finishing 20th.
- Camryn Rogers (Pittsburgh, Pa., Plum) placed eighth in the 800 with a season-best time of 2:37.41.
- Lindsay Hickman (Manasquan, N.J., Manasquan) finished the mile with a season-best time of 6:11.96 placing 15th.
- Jessica Bourne (Rye, N.Y., Rye) came in 15th in the 3,000 with a season-best time of 11:39.35.
- Weylman, Schissler, Rogers, and Boudreau earned a fourth place finish in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:53.20.
