Christopher Newport, ranked fourth in the latest USILA Div. II coaches' poll, scored seven straight goals to take a 7-1 halftime lead on No. 8 Gettysburg and finish with a 13-4 victory in the opening game of the Callum Robinson Mustang Classic hosted by Stevenson.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Ethan Kessler (Ridgefield, Conn./Millbrook School) finished a
Jackson Barroll (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) feed for a 1-0 Gettysburg lead just 1:36 into the game. Brett Jackson, however, started a run of five straight unassisted goals for Christopher Newport, tying the game at 1-all with 9:17 showing. A Brett Kelly marker and two from Jamie Smith made it 4-1 at the end of the first quarter.
• Jackson Platner finished in the first minute of the second quarter before Smith converted a man-up tally just over a minute later and Jackson Shaw scored with 5:10 showing for a 7-1 halftime lead.
• Barroll opened the second-half scoring with 13:08 to play but Kevin Miller found Jackson and Brady Mitchell 98 seconds apart for a 9-2 lead with 8:26 showing.
Jack Dunleavy sandwiched goals around a John Santono marker to make it 10-4 after three.
• Platner, Smith and Jackson each added goals in the fourth quarter for the final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Christopher Newport had a 41-36 edge in shots.

Brian Delduchetto (Weston, Mass./Weston) had two caused turnovers and two ground balls for the Bullets.
