GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) recently announced its academic awards.

The Gettysburg College men's lacrosse team was among the 72 Division III teams honored with the Team All-Academic Award. The Bullets joined Haverford as the only two Centennial Conference (CC) teams recognized as achieving a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

Individually, recent graduate Will Hedley (Charlotte, N.C./The Hotchkiss School) was tabbed Scholar All-Americans.

An economics major, Hedley was a second-team All-CC performer and honorable mention All-America nod. Playing all 17 games, he had 35 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. He also contributed seven goals and three assists to the attack. He recorded multiple ground balls in 13 games, including five against Franklin & Marshall on Apr. 25 to go with two caused turnovers.

To be eligible for the award, an individual player must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or better and earn either all-conference or All-America honors.
