Two Gettysburg players earn All-America honors from USA Lacrosse Magazine

SPARKS, Md. – Two members of the Gettysburg men's lacrosse team have been named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America team, released on Wednesday.

Will Hedley (Charlotte, N.C./The Hotchkiss School [Conn.]) was named to the second team while Jackson Hearn (Houston, Texas/Episcopal Bellaire) was tabbed honorable mention.

Hedley, a senior long-stick midfielder, claims his third All-America nod after back-to-back honorable mention accolades. He was named second-team all-conference. Playing all 17 games, he had 35 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. He also contributed seven goals and three assists to the attack. He recorded multiple ground balls in 13 games, including five against Franklin & Marshall on Apr. 25 to go with two caused turnovers.

Hearn, a junior attacker, earned his first All-America honor. Starting all 17 games, he was tied for team lead with 63 points. He contributed a team-high 35 assists to go with 28 goals. He also picked up 35 ground balls to go with nine caused turnovers. Hearn had 13 games this season with three or more points, including in each of the last seven games of the year. He handed out five assists at Ursinus on Apr. 11 and scored four goals, including the game-winner, in the Centennial Conference (CC) championship game at Dickinson on May 2.

The Bullets finished the season with a record of 12-5 (7-1 CC), winning the conference championship with a 13-12 overtime win at Dickinson before falling in the second round of the NCAA tournament to Washington and Lee on Saturday.
