THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 14th in the latest NFCA Div. III coaches' poll, scored multiple runs in four innings to sweep Franklin & Marshall, capturing game one 6-0 before taking the nightcap, 6-1.

THE LEADERS
Anika Pelekis (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) led the Bullets with six hits on the day with a double and three RBIs.
Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) added six hits of her own, recording three in each contest.
Paige Forry (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) twirled a one-hit shutout in game one with six strikeouts and just one walk.

FOR THE FOES
• Alexa Klepper led the Diplomats with two hits in game two.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• In game one, Anika Pelekis reached on an error to lead off the top of the fourth inning. A Carlie Goldstein (Verona, N.J./Verona) one-out single, fielder's choice and Audrey Bergan two-out single scored Pelekis for a 1-0 lead. The Bergan single was the 100th hit of her career.
Morgan DeFreitas (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) singled to the gap with one out in the fifth before a two-out infield single and throwing error put two in scoring position. Lauren O'Leary (Manasquan, N.J./Jackson Memorial) poked a ball to the right side, scoring both runners for a 3-0 lead.
• Bergan singled with one out in the sixth before stealing second. A two-out hit batter and error stretched the lead to 5-0. A walk and Pelekis single set the final margin.
• Bergan led off game two with a single before a sacrifice and Elliana Hopple (Collegeville, Pa./The Episcopal Academy) single up the middle staked the Bullets to an early 1-0 lead.
• Franklin & Marshall responded in the bottom of the inning. Alexa Klepper led off with a single before a sacrifice, passed ball and sacrifice fly gave the Diplomats their lone run of the day.
• The game remained tied until a one-out Bergan single and error before a two-out Hopple single up the middle made it 2-1 in the fifth inning.
• Pelekis singled with one out in the sixth before scoring on an O'Leary triple. Lily Mader (Las Vegas, Nev./Valley) followed with a double for a 4-1 lead.
• DeFreitas walked with one out in the top of the seventh. After a Renee Laczkowski (Erie, Colo./Erie) single, Pelekis singled to right, scoring pinch-runner Alyna Balewitz (Kendall Park, N.J./Lawrenceville School) and Laczkowski for the 6-1 final.

THE INSIDE STORY
Audrey Bergan and Anika Pelekis each had three hits in game one for the only multiple-hit outings of the opener. All nine starters had at least one hit as part of a 13-hit attack.
Audrey Wright (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) went the distance in game two with five strikeouts and no walks.
