THE SKINNY STORY
Franklin & Marshall swept at doubles only dropping one singles match. Gettysburg won at first singles in a three-set tiebreaking match.
THE LEADERS
- Mikey Fellman (Rockville, Md., Thomas S. Wootton) led the Bullets winning at first singles winning an initial tiebreaking match 7-2 to take the first set before dropping the second 6-4 to the Diplomats' Luke Brodsky. Fellman finished it off with a 10-2 win taking yet another tiebreaker. Fellman doubled with Adam Contract (Westfield, N.J., Westfield) earning some wins before dropping 6-2 to F&M's Zac Ashtiani and Gonzalo Gentou.
- Ben O'Connor-Skloot (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., Dobbs Ferry) won his first set 7-5 before losing the second 6-3. After forcing the tie with his first set win O'Connor-Skloot battled hard dropping the tiebreaker 10-7.
FOR THE FOES
- Zac Ashtiani led the Diplomats only dropping four games against the Bullets taking second singles 6-1, 6-3. He and Gonzalo Gentou won 6-2 at first doubles as well.
- Soren Rudin-Aulenbach won at No. 4 singles in a three-set tiebreaker holding Gettysburg to only one point. He and Luke Brodsky swept at second doubles.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Adam Contract (Westfield, N.J., Westfield) put up three game wins in his second set at second singles however the Diplomats took the 6-1, 6-3 win.
- Owen Kutlu (Mendham, N.J., West Morris Mendham) and Malek Mustafa both collected wins at third and fifth singles before Franklin & Marshall took both matches 6-2, 6-2.
- Connor McPartland (Furlong, Pa., Central Bucks East) lost at No. 6 singles but not without adding three game wins, one in the first and two in the second. He and Matt Porreca (Blue Bell, Pa., La Salle College) doubled at third doubles dropping 6-2 to Franklin & Marshall's Tucker Chesman and Jack Gelman.
