Gettysburg won two of three doubles and four of six singles to defeat No. 60 ITA ranked Goucher 5-2.
THE LEADERS
- Matt Porreca (Blue Bell, Pa., La Salle College) led the Bullets winning 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 singles to clinch the match. He and Connor McPartland (Furlong, Pa., Central Bucks East) won at third doubles 6-4.
FOR THE FOES
- Benedikt Rummel led the Gophers winning at third singles 6-2, 6-1. He and Gabe Naftoly won at first doubles without dropping a single game.
- Tadeo Asprella took the second singles win 7-5, 6-3.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- JP Damare (Raleigh, N.C., Cardinal Gibbons) and Owen Kutlu (Mendham, N.J., West Morris Mendham) defeated Goucher's Asprella and George King 6-4 at second doubles.
- Kutlu won at No. 4 singles winning the third set tiebreaker 10-8 after winning set two 7-5 to force the tiebreaker.
- Mikey Fellman (Rockville, Md., Thomas S. Wootton) won at first singles 6-3, 6-2.
- Malek Mustafa took the win from King at No. 5 singles defeating him 6-1, 6-3.
