LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its Division III Pitcher and Player of the Year watchlist on Thursday.
Gettysburg sophomore
Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) and senior
Paige Forry (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) are among the 119 student-athletes from across the country on the list.
The list is separated into the 10 NCAA regions and Bergan and Forry are among the 10 on the Region V list.
Bergan is hitting a team-best .488 this season with 39 hits that includes two doubles and three triples. She has scored a team-high 26 runs and has walked a team-high 16 times for a .577 on-base percentage. She also has 11 RBIs on the year.
Forry is one of just two pitchers selected from Region V. The two-time Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Year has a 0.68 earned-run average in 2025. She is 15-2 in the circle with three saves. She has appeared in 20 games with 14 starts, going the distance 12 times with four shutouts. She has struck out 111 batters this season with just 15 walks. Opponents are hitting just .183 off her this season.
Voted on by the NFCA's Division III All-American Committee, the 2025 NFCA Player and Pitcher of the Year winners will be announced on June 6 following the conclusion of the NCAA Division III Finals. All student-athletes are eligible for the end-of-the-season awards and do not have to be on this list to be considered. The NFCA Player of the Year award was created in 2016 to honor outstanding softball achievement in NCAA Division III. In 2019, the Association expanded the award to include separate Player and Pitcher of the Year honors.
Gettysburg, ranked 17th in the latest NFCA Div. III coaches' poll, returns to action at home against Dickinson on Tuesday. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 3 p.m.
