THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg scored 69 points finishing fourth at Millersville Metrics. The Bullets tallied four all-time top-ten finishers and seven top-three placements.
THE LEADERS
- Gabrielle Thiry (Lancaster, Pa., Lancaster Country Day School) led the Bullets with a first placed finish in the 10,000 with a season-best and Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying time of 47:24.49 which ranks third in program history.
- Lillian Boudreau (Adams, Mass., Hoosac Valley) finished first in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best and CC-qualifying time of 1:06.12 which ranks sixth in program history.
- Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa., Perkiomen Valley) placed second in the 10,000 with a personal-best and CC-qualifying time of 38:02.83 which ranks seventh in program history.
- Olivia Taylor (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., Hendrick Hudson) came in ninth in the pole vault with a personal-best and CC-qualifying vault of 2.90 meters which ties with sixth in program history. She also placed fifth in the triple jump with a CC-qualifying leap of 10.05 meters.
- Carys Cook (Wimberley, Texas, Lauralton Hall) competed in the steeplechase finishing first with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 11:52.00.
FOR THE FOES
- Millersville won the meet with 271 points with Shippensburg in second at 101.5 and Messiah taking third with 73 points.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Julia Brock (Moorestown, N.J., Moorestown) finished seventh in the 400 with a personal-best and CC-qualifying time of 1:03.41. She also placed 48th in the 200 with a season-best 30.86 seconds.
- Jenna Weylman (Walpole, Mass., Walpole) came in ninth in the 100 meter prelims with a personal-best and CC-qualifying time of 13.32 seconds however, she did not start in the finals. She also finished 10th in the 100 with a personal-best and CC-qualifying time of 27.49 seconds.
- Bella Yardeni (Port Washington, N.Y., Paul D. Schreiber) placed 13th in the 400 with a personal-best and CC-qualifying time of 1:04.87. She also finished 32nd in the 200 with a personal-best and CC-qualifying time of 28.89 seconds.
- Georgia Mercer (Elkton, Md., Rising Sun) competed in shot put finishing 29th with a personal-best and CC-qualifying throw of 9.48 meters. She also placed 34th in javelin with a season-best 21.72 meters as well as finishing 37th in the 200 with a personal-best 29.53 seconds.
- Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa., Strath Haven) finished third in the 1500 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 4:58.05.
- Franny Proto (Old Tappan, N.J., Northern Valley Regional at Old Tappan) competed in the 5,000 finishing second with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 18:41.26. She also placed 19th in the 800 with personal-best time of 2:32.15.
- Eliza Hoover (Mahwah, N.J., Academy of the Holy Angels) placed ninth in the 400 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 1:03.67. She also finished 40th in the 200 with a season-best time of 29.68 seconds.
- Camryn Rogers (Pittsburgh, Pa., Plum) came in 11th in the 800 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 2:28.53. She also finished 16th in the 200 with a personal-best time of 28.31.
- Lauren DiOttavio (West Chester, Pa., Downingtown West) placed 14th in the 100 meter prelims with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 13.49 seconds however, she did not start in the finals.
- Lea Del Grippo (Cinnaminson, N.J., Cinnaminson) came in 15th in discus with a season-best and CC-qualifying throw of 33.28 meters. She also placed 42nd in shot put with a toss of 8.50 meters.
- Theresa Ditri (Huntingdon Valley, Pa., William Tennent) competed in the 100 prelims finishing 33rd with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 14.12 seconds however, she did not start in the finals. She also finished 10th in the 400-meter hurdles with a CC-qualifying time of 1:15.92.
THE INSIDE STORY
- Jessica Bourne (Rye, N.Y., Rye) finished seventh in the steeplechase with a CC-qualifying time of 12:40.04.
- Caroline Gensinger (Cream Ridge, N.J., Allentown) placed seventh in hammer with a CC-qualifying throw of 38.73 meters. She also came in 15th in shot put with a CC-qualifying toss of 10.32 meters in addition to also placing 28th in discus with another CC-qualifying throw of 27.54 meters.
- Bethany Rolley (Huntingdon, Pa., Huntingdon Area) came in eighth in the pole vault with a CC-qualifying height of 2.90 meters.
- Kailey Schissler (Pasadena, Md., Chesapeake) competed in the 100 meter prelims finishing 18th with a CC-qualifying time of 13.64 seconds however, she did not start in the finals. She also ran a season-best time of 28.71 seconds to finish 26th in the 200.
- Ashlyn Miller (Martinsburg, W.Va., Martinsburg) placed 27th in the hammer throw with a CC-qualifying toss of 30.37 meters. She added another CC-qualifying throw of 9.35 meters to finish 33rd in shot put as well as posting a 22.89 meter throw to place 45th in discus.
- Weylman, Boudreau, Rogers, and DiOttavio combined for a season-best time of 50.83 seconds to finish third in the 4x100 relay.
- Ainsley Kilbreth (Nottingham, N.H., Coe-Brown Northwood Academy) finished 37th in javelin with a throw of 20.78 meters. She also placed 39th in discus with a toss of 24.57 meters.
