Gettysburg heads to Lancaster for Regional Weekend

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA has announced the regional hosts for the 2025 NCAA Division III women's lacrosse tournament and Gettysburg learned that its road to Salem will run through Lancaster, Pa., next weekend.

Franklin & Marshall will host one of the four regional sites on Saturday and Sunday. The four regional winners advance to the national semifinals at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Va., on Friday, May 23.

The Bullets (17-3) will take on Washington and Lee (18-4) in the second third-round game at 4 p.m. The host Diplomats (18-2) and Denison (15-4) will square off in the day's first third-round game at 1 p.m. Saturday's winners will meet in Sunday's quarterfinal game at 2:30 p.m.

Gettysburg advanced to the regional weekend with a 13-11 win over No. 18 Trinity (Conn.) on Sunday. Washington and Lee defeated Sewanee in the second round, 19-5. Franklin & Marshall was a 15-11 winner over Messiah and Denison topped Lake Forest 23-4 in their respective second-round games.

The Bullets met all three of the other teams in its regional during the regular season. Gettysburg defeated Washington and Lee 15-7 on Mar. 1 and Denison 16-6 on Feb. 22 – both at home. The Bullets dropped a pair of matchups with the Diplomats in Lancaster, falling 11-10 in the regular season on Apr. 2 and 12-7 in the Centennial Conference championship game on May 3.

Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) leads the attack with 57 goals, 41 assists and 98 points. Emily Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) is second on the team with 52 goals and 69 points. She also leads the team with 115 draw controls. Lily Macatee (Street, Md./North Harford) has 78 draw controls to go with 29 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers. Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) is second on the team with 31 assists and has added 20 goals for 51 points.

Juliette deVarenne (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) has backstopped the defense with an 9.01 goals-against average and .474 save percentage.
