GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Four members of the Gettysburg men's tennis team were named to the Division III Academic All-District men's tennis team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently.
Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 4.
The following Bullets men's tennis players were honored as part of the program:
- Sophomore Teo Burgess (Rockville, Md./Wheaton), a biochemistry major
- Junior Adam Contract (Westfield, N.J./Westfield), a mathematical economics major
- Senior Mikey Fellman (Rockville, Md./Thomas S. Wootton), a mathematics and psychology major
- Sophomore Owen Kutlu (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham), a business, organizations and management major
Fellman earned the honor for the second time in his career.
To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve. Up to four eligible student-athletes per institution can be selected to the all-district team.
