THE SKINNY STORY
William Smith scored twice in the final 10 minutes of regulation to force overtime and then got the game-winner late in the second overtime to defeat Gettysburg, 5-4.

THE LEADERS
• Sabrina Post (Poquoson, Va./Hampton Road Academy) led the Bullets with two goals and an assist.
• Jillian Somers (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) added a goal and two assists.

FOR THE FOES
• Rebecca Mantione led the Herons with the final three goals.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Sabrina Post opened the scoring, finishing a pass from Jillian Somers nearly 10 minutes into the game for a 1-0 lead.
• Just over five minutes into the second quarter, Somers found Margaret-Ann Graves (Charlottesville, Va./The Covenant School) to make it a 2-0 lead. Just 2:20 later, Abby Jones got William Smith on the board before Lily Gutch drew the hosts even just 1:39 before the halftime break.
• The Bullets needed just 64 seconds in the third quarter before Post found the backboard for her second goal of the day off a feed from Colleen Ragan (Manasquan, N.J./St. Rose).
• Somers then netted her first tally of the season off a pass from Cassie DeBlieck (Grafton, Mass./Grafton) in the 48th minute for a 4-2 advantage. Rebecca Mantione drew the Herons within one in the 52nd minute before getting her second to tie the game five minutes later.
• Mantione finished off her natural hat trick with the game-winner at the 77:05 mark.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Sabrina Post has scored in the last four games for Gettysburg.
• William Smith finished with a 29-18 advantage in shots and 15-2 advantage in shots.
• Delaney Ellsworth (Cos Cob, Conn./Choate Rosemary Hall) made 11 saves in goal after halftime.

Gettysburg returns to action against St. Lawrence in the second game of the William Smith Classic on Sunday. Game time is 10:30 a.m.
