THE SKINNY STORY
Western Connecticut threw for 377 yards and three touchdowns as part of a 55-21 win over Gettysburg.
THE LEADERS

Nick Wonsala (Manasquan, N.J./Wall Twp.) led the Bullets with four catches for 79 yards and two touchdowns.
FOR THE FOES
• Dylan Jackson led the Wolves with 367 passing yards on 23 of 32 passing with three touchdown tosses.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Western Connecticut took the opening possession 48 yards in just seven plays for a 7-0 lead on the first of two Kam Holmes rushing touchdowns from 14 yards out with 12:15 to play in the opening quarter. A strip-sack fumble set up the Wolves at the Gettysburg 22. Four plays later, Dylan Jackson found Jayden Leroy for his only catch of the day and a 14-0 lead with 5:26 on the clock. Gettysburg responded with a quick five-play strike.
Nick Wonsala caught a deep ball for the final 57 yards of the 75-yard drive to make it 14-7 nearly three minutes later.
• Western Connecticut scored on the first play of the second quarter on a 15-yard Tamarion LaFortune touchdown grab to push the lead back to 14. The Wolves added a 31-yard touchdown toss to Thomas Schiavoni and a four-yard Holmes rushing score for a 35-7 lead with 2:47 to play in the opening half. The Bullets then marched 64 yards in eight plays and 2:26 before Wonsala caught his second score of the half – this time from six yards out – to make it a 35-14 game at the break.
• A 25-yard Marciel Do Amaral field goal with 1:24 on the clock accounted for the only points of the third quarter.
• After Quasim Benson rushed seven yards for a touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter,
Sean Clark (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) found
Gabriel Diaz (Orlando, Fla./Winter Park) for a 40-yard touchdown toss just 2:23 into the fourth quarter to make it 45-21. Antwan Davis added a 12-yard touchdown run and Do Amaral added a second field goal from 18 yards for the final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY

Michael Zrelak (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) carried the ball 21 times for 88 yards.

Ty Can (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newton) led the defense with six tackles and an interception.
