Gettysburg found the back of the net just 2:02 before the end of the first half and made it a stand for a 1-0 win over Haverford in the Centennial Conference opener for both teams.
THE LEADERS

Jane Daiutolo (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) scored the lone goal for Bullets, registering a goal for the fifth straight game.
FOR THE FOES
• Lily Buyer and Allie Billups split time in goal for the Fords. Buyer had three first-half saves while Billups made two stops in the second half.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• A ball played in from the right side found the feet of
Jane Daiutolo at the top of the box. The senior then turned on her defender and found just enough space to blast a shot that dipped just under the crossbar for a 1-0 lead.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 15-5 advantage in shots and 3-2 edge in corner kicks.

Alex Jurow (Teaneck, N.J./Parsippany Hills) made two saves for the shutout.
