Gettysburg opened the fall season at the Goucher Invitational.
THE LEADERS

Victor Lopez (Rye Brook, N.Y./Blind Brook) won the F flights in singles. He opened his day with an 8-1 win over Arnaz Guptu before topping Colin Seipos (Stevenson) 8-2 and won the championship match by forfeit.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the A Flight,
Connor McPartland (Furlong, Pa./Central Bucks East) opened the bracket with an 8-6 win over Loyola's Critian Pemueller before falling to Cooler Wheeler, 8-2.
• In B singles,
Matt Porreca (Blue Bell, Pa./La Salle College) won his first consolation match 8-2 before falling in the consolation final, 8-4.

Ben O'Connor-Skloot (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y./Dobbs Ferry) won his opening match in the C Flight of singles 8-4 before falling to Millersville's Joel Oetliker, 8-4.
• Also in the C flight,
Rex Bondi (Arlington, Va./Landon School) recorded an 8-7 win in the consolation bracket, taking the tiebreaker, 7-3.

Raf Lazrow (Elkins Park, Pa./Cheltenham) won a match 8-3 in the consolation bracket of the D flight while
Jack Cranmer (Cinnaminson, N.J./Moorestown Friends School) won a match by default.
• In E singles,
Grayson Kahng (Metuchen, N.J./Metuchen) recorded an 8-2 win over Stevenson's Christian Coulson then advanced to the championship match with an 8-3 win. Goucher's Ian Hewes won the title tilt, 8-7, taking the tiebreaker, 7-4.
• In the F flight,
Cooper Dickson (South Charleston, W.Va./South Charleston) registered an 8-4 win in the consolation bracket before topping Guptu by the same score in the consolation final.
• In doubles, McPartland and
JP Damare (Raleigh, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) won their consolation match in the A bracket, 6-4.
• Porreca and
Spencer Pompian (Clayton, Mo./Clayton) captured wins in their first two matches of the B doubles bracket. They combined for 6-3 and 6-4 victories before falling in the championship final, 6-3.
• In C doubles, Cranmer and O'Connor-Skloot met Lazrow and Bondi in the championship match. Cranmer and O'Connor-Skloot recorded wins of 6-2 and 6-1 to advance while Lazrow and Bondi won 6-2 and 6-3 to meet their teammates. The latter duo came out on top, 6-3.
