LANCASTER, Pa. – Daniel Casanta (Pinehurst, N.C./Pomperaug), a junior on the Gettysburg men's golf team, has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Golfer of the Week, for the week of Sept. 23-29.

It is the first time he has earned the weekly honor and the second time a Bullet player has been recognized this fall.

Casanta led the Bullets to a second-place finish at the Northeast Elite on Sunday and Monday. He posted a career-low round of four-under 67 on Monday to finish with an even-par 36-hole total of 142 and place tied for second overall in the field of 90 golfers. Casanta posted a round of 75 in the opening round and registered nine birdies over the two days.

Gettysburg returns to action at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11-12.
