THE SKINNY STORY
Both Gettysburg and No. 8 Dickinson had quality looks at the goal in the second half but both keepers stood strong and the defenses thwarted the opportunities as the teams battled to a scoreless draw.

THE LEADERS
Sean Kennedy (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) made eight saves for the Bullets but also punched away several crossing attempts to styme the visitors before they could even get a look at the cage.

FOR THE FOES
• Nick Potter needed to make five saves for the Red Devils to register his fifth individual clean sheet of the year.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Dickinson had the better looks in the first half and carried the run of play with a 5-1 advantage in shots but could not find the back of the net. Gettysburg, however, flipped the field over the first 20 minutes or so of the second half. The Bullets had a quality look in the 62nd minute when Athi Msiza (Gauteng, South Africa/Berkshire School [Mass.]) nearly snuck one inside the left pipe but Nick Potter's outstretched hand knocked the low-liner off the post and out. In the 73rd minute, Potter was caught out of his cage but the defense recovered and blocked a Cole McCartney (Voorhees, N.J./St. Joseph's Prep) look from range. In the final 10 minutes, the Red Devils had several scary looks in the box including a high attempt by Ethan Jarden that Sean Kennedy was able to just knock away.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Dickinson finished with a 14-7 advantage in shots and 7-3 edge in corner kicks.
Cameron Linnington (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) had three of the Bullets' five shots on goal.
• This was the first scoreless draw in the series between the two long-time rivals since 2006.
