NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association announced its All-Academic Teams and Athletes for 2025 and Gettysburg was among the Division III programs recognized.
Both the Bullets men's and women's team were tabbed as All-Academic Teams. To qualify for the honor, the team must have a collective grade-point average of 3.1 or higher.
Gettysburg women were one of 219 Division III programs honored. The men were also one of 195 teams in Division III to earn the recognition. Six of the nine Centennial Conference (CC) men's teams and eight of the 10 women's teams were among those honored.
Individually, four Bullets were named All-Academic Athletes. They were among 419 women Division III student-athletes honored who had a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher and finished in the top 25 percent of the regional championship meet.
Seniors
Carys Cook (Henderson, Tenn./Laurelton Hill [Texas]),
Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) and
Sarah Smith (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) as well as junior
Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) were recognized for the Bullets women. A physics major, Crawford was 25th at the regional meet. Smith, an environmental studies and public policy major, was 31st at the regional meet while Cook, a psychology major, finished 38th. Tancini, a public policy and sociology major, crossed 43rd.
