NEW ORLEANS, La. – Two members of the Gettysburg women's cross country team have been named all-region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), released on Monday.
Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) and
Sarah Smith (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) earned the accolade after finishing in the top 35 at the NCAA Div. III Mid-Atlantic Regional meet on Saturday.
Crawford ran the Bullets' third-fastest 6,000-meter time on the Big Spring High School course, posting a time of 22:36.3 to finish 25th in the field of 208 runners.
Smith placed 31st in the field with a time of 22:48.8.
The Bullets finished fifth at the regional championship, scoring 187 points.
