THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg held Washington (Md.) to 1-for-17 shooting in the first quarter, building a 22-5 lead and never looked back for a 79-44 victory.

THE LEADERS
Briana Robles (Westchester, N.Y./Poly Prep) led the Bullets with a career-high 17 points to go with four assists, four steals and two rebounds.

FOR THE FOES

THE REST OF THE STORY
• A Reagan Chrencik (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) putback got Gettysburg on the board first, just 39 seconds into the game. A second-chance Emma Robinson layup tied the game two minutes later but then two Amanda Rapel (Stewartsville, N.J./Phillipsburg) free throws and an Ava O'Neil (Chevy Chase, Md./St. John's College) pull-up on the break made it 6-2 less than a minute later. After two Abby Meredith free throws closed the deficit back to two, Kimberly Hopkins (Baldwin, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) converted a turnaround to spark a 16-1 run over the final 5:17 of the period. In all, nine of the 10 Bullets who appeared in the first quarter scored at least a point. Robles led the way with six markers.
• The lead grew to 29-5 on two Chrencik baskets around a Rapel triple in the first 1:46 of the second quarter. Washington responded with an 8-0 burst that included six points from Kaitlyn Boggs to close the margin to 29-13 with 5:43 to play. However, after a Jones jumper pushed the lead back to 31-13, the Bullets' lead remained between 18 and 24 points until a Robles 3-pointer in the final 30 seconds of the half made it a 42-17 game at the intermission.
• Washington got back to within 42-25 on a Sarah O'Leary 3-pointer with 6:58 remaining in the third quarter but a Sasha Brody three-point play sparked a 20-5 run that pushed the lead over 30 points for the first time in the final two minutes of the period. Taylor Shane hit a pair of free throws with 1:03 on the clock to make it a 62-32 game heading to the final period.
• Boggs hit the first basket of the fourth quarter but Gettysburg scored the next seven and the lead remained between 33 and 39 points the rest of the way.
