Johns Hopkins, ranked fifth in the latest D3hoops.com poll, outscored Gettysburg 24-12 in the final quarter to extend the lead and record a 67-46 victory.

Sasha Brody (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) established a career high with 16 points to lead the Bullets.

• Jocelyn Goldstein led the Blue Jays with 22 points on 9 of 13 shooting. She also had seven rebounds.

• Behind six second-chance points, Johns Hopkins jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the game's first 5:27. Two
Briana Robles (Westchester, N.Y./Poly Prep) free throws with 1:46 to play started a 6-0 burst that closed the margin to 13-8 before Kendall Dunham hit one of three free throws in the waning seconds to make it a 14-8 game after 10 minutes.

Reagan Chrencik (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) for a layup then canned a triple to close the deficit to one in the opening minute of the second quarter. Five points from Jocelyn Goldstein keyed an 8-2 response to stretch the lead to 22-15 with 6:01 to play in the opening half. Four points from
Amanda Rapel (Stewartsville, N.J./Phillipsburg) in 17 seconds closed the margin to 22-19 but Kendall Dunham and Beth Corelli both got friendly bounces on 3-pointers to make it a nine-point game with 3:38 on the clock. The teams traded points the rest of the way with the Blue Jays taking a 32-25 advantage into the intermission.
• Two Goldstein layups in the opening 1:53 of the third period gave the hosts a double-digit advantage.
Olivia Jones (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) and Brody both hit driving layups to trim the margin to 36-29 midway through the quarter. A Faith Williamson corner trey extended the lead back to 10 and snapped a five-minute scoring drought for Johns Hopkins. Robles tightroped the sideline to make it a 41-34 game but Feldman beat the buzzer with a teardrop to make it a nine-point lead heading to the final quarter.
• Leading 50-40, three different Blue Jays hit layups in a 67-second stretch to open up a 16-point lead with 6:26 remaining and the defense took over, holding Gettysburg to just six points the rest of the way.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Johns Hopkins finished with a 52-39 advantage in rebounding.
• The Blue Jays shot 71.4 percent (10 of 14) in the fourth quarter after being limited to 29.1-percent shooting through the first 30 minutes. Gettysburg shot just 27.4 percent for the day.
