Gettysburg scored the game's first 12 points and never trailed in a 69-58 win at Franklin & Marshall to sweep the season series.
THE LEADERS

Olivia Jones (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) led the Bullets with 16 points.

Kimberly Hopkins (Baldwin, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) added 14 points, including hitting all eight free-throw attempts, to go with five rebounds, two assists and steal and blocked shot.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Kimberly Hopkins scored the game's first six points in the opening 3:39 to ignite the 12-0 run to start the game. Lizzie Neville got Franklin & Marshall on the board with a layup at the 2:04 mark to make it 12-2 and Mackenzie Ward hit a pair of free throws with two ticks left to trim the deficit to eight after one period.
• The Diplomats extended the run to 13-2 with six more points from Neville, including hitting two from the charity stripe with 6:09 showing to make it a 14-13 game.
Sasha Brody (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) responded with a layup at the other end then drained a 3-pointer off an
Ava O'Neil (Chevy Chase, Md./St. John's College) rebound and outlet to extend the lead back out to six just 35 seconds later. After Gianna Modica hit a triple to make it 23-20 with 2:42 showing, Gettysburg closed the half on a 10-2 run to open up an 11-point advantage at the break. Four different Bullets hit baskets in the stretch.
• The teams traded baskets to open the half before a
Reagan Chrencik (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) layup and six straight points from
Amanda Rapel (Stewartsville, N.J./Phillipsburg) pushed the lead to 4-426 with 7:24 on the clock. The advantage remained between 14 and 19 points for the remainder of the period.
• After Neville closed the third quarter with a steal-and-layup, she hit a 3-pointer in the opening minute of the fourth quarter to make it 57-43, sparking a 12-2 run that trimmed the margin to 59-50 with 7:43 to play. Nine points, however, was as close as Franklin & Marshall could get in the final period.
THE INSIDE STORY
• All 10 players who played for Gettysburg scored at least one basket.

Skylar Reale (Warren, N.J./Morristown Beard) led the Bullets on the glass with 10 rebounds as part of a 44-38 rebounding advantage.
• As a team, Gettysburg shot 17-for-18 from the free-throw line.
