THE SKINNY STORY
A six-run sixth inning provided the difference in a 10-5 Gettysburg win over William Peace in the final game of a three-game weekend set at USA Baseball in Cary, N.C.
THE LEADERS

Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) led the Bullets with three hits, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) also had a three-hit, three-RBI game.
FOR THE FOES
• Gavin Turner led the Pacers with two hits and two runs scored.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Three first-inning errors helped stake William Peace to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The inning started with an error before a sacrifice and two more miscues led to a 1-0 advantage. With runners at the corners, the Pacers stole a second run.

Brendan Laqui (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) was hit by a pitch to lead off the visitor third before
Mike Coleman (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) singled through the right side. A fielder's choice put runners at the corners for
Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) singled home Laqui. A
Will Bercaw (Langhorner, Pa./Pennington School) steal of third and
Will Stellato RBI groundout tied the game.
Jack Amirata followed with an RBI triple for a 3-2 lead.
• Peace got that run back in the bottom of the frame. Gavin Turner singled to lead off the inning before a hit batter and Nathan Roller one-out RBI groundout tied the game at 3-all.
• With two outs in the fourth, Jacob Herzberg singled and stole second. A Justin Earle double made it 4-3 before back-to-back infield singles stretched the lead to two.
• Gettysburg got one run back in the top of the fifth. Stellato reached on a one-out bunt single before Amirata singled and a
Dominick Balsamo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) had a sacrifice fly.
• An error, walk and Bercaw bunt single loaded the bases with no outs in the sixth. A passed ball then scored Laqui with the tying run. After another walk reloaded the bases, Stellato poked a single through the right side to score two and put the Bullets in front, 7-5. After a pitching change, Amirata doubled home Murphy and Stellato for a 9-5 lead.
Michael Fischetti (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) one-out single down the line extended the lead to five.

Brendan Trotta (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) threw up three straight 1-2-3 innings before the Pacers put two on in the bottom of the ninth but Trotta got out of the inning unscathed for the win. He threw five scoreless innings in relief with three strikeouts.
