THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked fourth in the preseason IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll, jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the game's first four minutes and defeated No. 24 Messiah, 11-7.
THE LEADERS

Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) led the Bullets with three goals and three assists, adding three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Riley Kenrick (Verona, N.J./Verona) established a career high with four goals and an assist.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Julia Daly staked Gettysburg to a 1-0 lead with an unassisted tally just 39 seconds into the game.
Riley Kenrick followed with a natural hat trick, finding the back of the net three times in a 2-minute, 46-second stretch to build a 4-0 lead with 11:01 to play. The first two goals came off feeds from
Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and the third gave Daly an assist to go with her early goal.
• Hayley Lettinga got Messiah on the board with an advantage goal 1:11 into the second quarter before Grace Pettit made it a 4-2 game just a minute later. Kelly broke a 15-minute, 6-second drought for Gettysburg before Daly converted an advantage goal off a
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) pass with 7:50 showing. Hannah Gawne and
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) traded goals nearly two minutes apart to make it a 7-3 game at the break.
• Another Lettinga advantage goal with 12:02 to play made it 7-4 before Jordan Lewicki once again made it a two-score game, finishing a solo run with 9:27 showing. Daly found Marra in a player advantage situation a minute later then finished from Kenrick for another advantage tally to reestablish the four-goal margin with 2:38 to play in the quarter.

Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) made it a five-goal lead for the first time with 11:23 remaining before Pettit connected with Lettinga four minutes later. Kenirck finished her fourth of the day off a Marra pass with 4:21 to play before Brynn Johnsen set the final margin on a free-position tally with 3:33 to play.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 32-17 advantage in shots and 25-17 advantage in ground balls.

Grace Battle won eight draw controls to herself as part of an 11-9 edge for the Bullets at the circle.
•
Camryn Epstein (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) led the defense with three ground balls and three caused turnovers.
•
Marin McGuire (Summit, N.J./Summit) made five saves in 36 minutes of relief action, seeing her first collegiate action between the pipes.
