THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked ninth in the latest USILA Div. III poll, exploded out to an 8-1 lead in the first quarter before Stevenson scored six times in mop-up time in the fourth quarter for a 16-12 final.
THE LEADERS

Ethan Kessler (Ridgefield, Conn./Millbrook School) led the attack for the Bullets with two goals and four assists.
•
Jacob Goldstein (St. Louis, Mo./Ladue Horton Watkins) won 14 of 17 faceoffs with nine ground balls and a goal to lead a faceoff unit that won 27 of 32 on the night.

• Max Racich led the Mustangs with three goals and one assist.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Ethan Kessler had a hand in each of the first four goals of the game. He scored the first goal just 1:41 into the game before finding
Colin Johnston (Northport, N.Y./St. Anthony's) with 12:21 showing. Just 1:28 later, Kessler hit
Jackson Barroll (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) for a 3-0 lead and then the same duo connected with 10:15 showing.
Jacob Goldstein won the ensuing faceoff and went right to goal for a 5-0 lead just six seconds later. Peyton Larocco got Stevenson on the board with 6:23 to play in the opening quarter before
Jackson Hearn (Houston, Texas/Episcopal Bellaire) connected with
Will Hedley (Charlotte, N.C./The Hotchkiss School) in transition to spark another three-goal run with 4:10 showing.
Declan Mack (Wynnewood, Pa./Lower Marion) and
Patrick Maroney (Hingham, Mass./Boston College H.S.) each finished solo runs for an 8-1 lead with 1:54 remaining. Zachary Cotton made it 8-2 with 39 ticks left.

Ryan Sims (Newtown Square, Pa./Malvern Prep) and
Matt Maciolek (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) got in on the action with solo runs around a Hearn-to-Kessler connection for an 11-2 lead with 9:53 on the second quarter clock. Darrell Curtis and Max Racich each found the back of the net to pull the Mustangs within 11-4 at the break.
• Kessler hooked up with Johnston for the second time before Barroll completed his hat trick with 9:39 to play in the third. After another Curtis tally,
Luke Barbera (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) became the 10th different Bullet to find the back of the net with 5:37 on the clock. After a Racich goal,
Tate Kuster (Williamstown, Mass./The Williston Northampton School) scored the second FOGO goal directly off the draw for a 15-6 lead after three.
• Maciolek extended the lead to 10 just 37 seconds into the final stanza before six different Mustangs scored over the final 12:22 to set the four-goal final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY

Tate Kuster won 7 of 9 faceoffs while
Brady Schwenk (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford Area) won all six he took. Kuster had five ground balls.

Jackson Chase (Norwell, Mass./Tabor Academy) registered two caused turnovers.
•
Jackson Hearn added four ground balls and a caused turnover to his two helpers.
