THE SKINNY STORY
Tufts, ranked third in the latest IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll, went on a 7-1 run in the second quarter to build a 13-7 halftime lead before staving off No. 7 Gettysburg in the second half for a 16-12 victory.
THE LEADERS

Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) led the Bullets with a career-high eight goals on just 10 shots to become just the third player in program history to reach 300 points for her career. She finished the day with 307 career points.
FOR THE FOES
• Eleanor Helm led the Jumbos with five goals and two assists.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Elsa Schutt and
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) traded goals in the first 1:41 of the game before Neta Leschy found the back of the net with 12:24 remaining to put Tufts back in front.
Julia Daly responded with her first of the day at the 11:00 mark before Sophia Claps stared a run of three straight Jumbo goals in a 1-miunte, 33-second span to take a 5-2 lead with 6:52 showing. Daly one-timed a
Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) pass in front a minute later before Eleanor Helm pushed the advantage back to three after one period.
• Daly went on a personal three-goal run in the first five minutes of the second quarter to draw the game even but Tufts won the next eight draw controls and scored seven of the eight goals over the final 6:13 of the opening half. Helm bookended a 5-0 burst in less than four minutes. Kelly once again found Daly with 1:33 to play but Allie Zorn connected with Helm once again for a behind-the-back in front of the cage with 52 seconds left. Helm then found Kate Deehan to make it 13-7 at the break.
• Free-position tallies from Passarello and
Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) cut the margin to 13-9 with 10:02 to play before Leschly and Daly traded eight-meter goals 93 seconds apart for a 14-10 score with 6:57 on the clock.
• Daly finished a transition goal from Battle with 13:23 on the fourth-quarter clock before Kelly fed
Charlotte Wilkinson (Wilmington, Del./The Tatnall School) to cut the deficit to two with 10:58 remaining. Deehan pushed the lead back to three with 6:46 to play and Helm capped the day with a solo run in the final 66 seconds.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Tufts finished with a 33-30 edge in shots while both teams won 15 draw controls.

Marin McGuire (Summit, N.J./Summit) made five saves in the second half in goal.
•
Maddie Passarello added seven draw controls to her two goals and assist while
Grace Battle corralled six draws to go with her goal and helper.
