Washington and Lee, ranked 10th in the latest IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll, withstood a fourth-quarter rally from No. 7 Gettysburg to notch an 11-10 home victory.

Riley d'Entremont (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Radnor) led the Bullets with her first collegiate hat trick.

Nora Crowther (Randolph, N.J./Villa Walsh Academy) led the defense with four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

• Lara Baki led the Generals with three goals to go with two ground balls and a caused turnover.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Lara Baki staked Washington and Lee to a 1-0 lead in the opening three minutes of the game before
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) and Katie Reed traded goals 19 seconds apart to keep the hosts in front 2-1 with 11:21 to play in the first quarter.
Riley Kenrick (Verona, N.J./Verona) tied the game with 6:16 on the clock before
Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) added a goal to her earlier assist for the Bullets' first lead with 5:09 showing. Kenrick then found
Riley d'Entremont for a 4-2 lead with 3:39 on the clock. Baki trimmed the deficit back down to one with 68 ticks remaining.
• Grace Kim and Sophie Edwards each found the back of the net to turn the one-goal deficit into a one-goal lead with 10:39 remaining in the second. Just 37 seconds later,
Sarah Scollin (Orefield, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) netted the equalizer and d'Entremont tallied her second of the day for a 6-5 edge with 6:54 on the clock. Baki completed her hat trick with 5:00 showing before Kim gave the hosts a 7-6 lead with 2:37 remaining until the intermission.
• Betty Boatwright scored twice in the first 4:22 of the third quarter, finishing a pass from Emma Marsh and then connecting on a free-position attempt to stretch the lead to 9-6. A Katie Reed advantage goal from Kim extended the lead to four with 2:26 remaining.
• With 8:59 to play, d'Entremont snapped a 27-minute, 55-second scoring drought with an advantage goal. A
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) free-position tally and
Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) goal from
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) just 39 seconds apart made it a one-goal game with 6:36 to play. Hannah Von Son, however, stemmed the tide and pushed the lead to 11-9 with 3:52 remaining. Passarello made it 11-10 with 1:32 to play but Kelly Polacek won the ensuring draw and the Generals nearly ran out the clock to hold on to the win.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 31-24 advantage in shots, including holding an 11-2 advantage in the fourth quarter.
•
Katie Westmoreland (Abington, Pa./Mt. St. Joseph Academy) established a career high with five draw controls as part of a 13-10 Bullets edge on the circle.
