THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked ninth in the latest IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll, jumped out to a 7-1 lead en route to handing Muhlenberg its first loss of the season, 13-8.
THE LEADERS

Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) led the Bullets with two goals and three assists.
•
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) chipped in two goals and two assists.
FOR THE FOES
• Annalisa Bio led the Mules with two goals.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Forcing turnovers on the first two Muhlenberg possessions, Gettysburg immediately turned those into goals and jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the game's first 1:51.
Michaela Kelly found
Riley Kenrick (Verona, N.J./Verona) in the opening minute before
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) connected with
Nina Marra in transition. Marra then hit
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) for a 3-0 lead with 11:11 showing. Back-to-back tallies from Kelly in just 33 seconds made it 5-0 before Halina Homiak got the Mules on the board with 5:48 on the clock. Marra finished a pass from Kenrick and then
Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) hit a free-position shot to make it 7-1 with 3:33 showing. Ava Millia scored on a tough angle to make it 7-2 after one period.

Meghan Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) finished a solo run with 11:42 to play in the second quarter before Daly hit
Kali McDonnell (Norwich, Vt./Hanover) over the top 21 seconds later. Kenrick connected with
Riley d'Entremont (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Radnor) for a Riley-to-Riley connection in the final 1:40 of the half to make it 10-2 at the break.
• The Mules tallied the first three goals of the third quarter to pull within 10-5 with 7:07 showing. Taylor Dzama finished from Emma Youngling before Youngling added a goal to her assist less than two minutes later. Bio then found the back of the net for her first. Battle and Kenrick scored 48 seconds apart to extend the lead to 12-5 with 1:11 to play in the third.
• Samantha Kalinoglu opened the fourth quarter scoring before Alyssa Hartnett closed the margin back to five with 6:09 on the clock. Passarello and Bio traded goals in the final 1:21 for the final score.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 29-17 advantage in shots.

Grace Battle added seven draw controls to her two goals as part of 13-10 Bullets edge in the circle.

Charlotte Wilkinson (Wilmington, Del./The Tatnall School) added three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Dillon Troy (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) led the defense with five ground balls and a caused turnover.
