LANCASTER, Pa. – Jacob Goldstein (St. Louis, Mo./Ladue Horton Watkins), a junior on the Gettysburg men's lacrosse team, has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 22-Mar. 1.

It is the first time in his career he has earned the weekly honor.

Goldstein led a dominating night at the faceoff X in a 16-12 win over Stevenson on Saturday. He won 14 of his 17 draws with nine ground balls and also scored a goal.

For the season, he is winning two-thirds of his faceoffs with 38 of 57 faceoffs. He also leads the team with 22 ground balls with a goal and an assist.

Gettysburg returns to action at home against No. 13 Washington and Lee on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
