THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 21st in the latest D3baseball.com poll, opened up an 8-3 lead before using a two-run home run in the eighth for insurance in a 10-7 victory over Rutgers-Camden.

THE LEADERS
Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) led the Bullets with his first four-hit game of the season, going 4-for-5 with two doubles.
Brendan Laqui (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) provided the insurance in the eighth inning with a two-run home run.

FOR THE FOES
• Austin Dubler led the Scarlet Raptors with three hits and a walk.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gavin McCaffrey led off the game with a single to right before Austin Dubler and Jake Slusarski followed with singles to load the bases. Jacob Watson was hit by a pitch to force in the first run of the game before a Chris Smith single up the middle plated two more for a 3-0 lead.
Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) started the home half of the inning with a single through the left side before moving up a base on a wild pitch. One-out singles from Will Stellato and Dominick Balsamo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) made it a 3-1 game before a two-out Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) single cut the margin to one.
Will Roche (Milton, Mass./Boston College H.S.) walked to lead off the second before a fielder's choice and a walk to Murphy put two on base. Mike Coleman (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) singled home Henry Smith (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) to tie the game before a Stellato single to center put the hosts in front, 4-3.
• Stellato led off the fourth with a double before a Balsamo single and Brayden Casas (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) walk loaded the bases. An Amirata sacrifice fly pushed the lead to two before a Brendan Laqui walk reloaded the bases. After a pitching change, Roche doubled to the fence to clear the bases and make it 8-3.
• Rutgers-Camden closed the margin back to one with a four-run sixth. Evan Carbone walked to start the inning before McCaffrey and Dubler both singled to make it 8-4. A Slusarski single loaded the bases before Watson was hit by a pitch for the second time with the bases loaded. Smith followed with a single before a Will Gural RBI groundout made it 8-7.
• Amirata poked a two-out, two-strike pitch through the right side in the eighth before Laqui sent the first pitch saw out to left field to extend the lead back to three.
• Two of the first three hitters reached in the ninth before Ethan Mitnick (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) came on and got a strikeout and flyout for his second save of the season.
