GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg will travel to Allentown for one of the first-round games of the double-elimination portion of the 2026 Centennial Conference (CC) softball championship tournament on Thursday. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
In the five-team format, the Bullets (20-19, 10-6 CC), the No. 3 seed, travel to No. 2 Muhlenberg (31-9, 12-4 CC) in one of the two games. Top-seeded Swarthmore (30-8, 15-1 CC) will host the winner of the single-elimination first-round game for a game that will begin at 4:30 p.m. Fifth-seeded Haverford (25-11, 8-8 CC) will travel to fourth-seeded Franklin & Marshall (17-19, 9-7 CC) in the opening game on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. The four remaining teams will all travel to Swarthmore for the remainder of the double-elimination tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Games being at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Tickets will be sold for each day of the CC tournament and will be available soon on the Centennial ticketing homepage. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students age 6 through high school and senior citizens. Children five and under as well as students and staff from conference institutions are free.
The tournament's champion will earn the CC's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III tournament, slated to begin at 16 regionals sites on May 14-16. The NCAA field will be announced on Monday, May 11 at 11 a.m.
The Bullets are seeking their seventh conference title. It is the 18th tournament appearance for Gettysburg. The Bullets also in search of their seventh NCAA tournament bid after making a super-regional run last season.
In the regular-season meeting between Gettysburg and Muhlenberg, the two teams split in Gettysburg on Friday. The Bullets won the first game 7-6 in eight innings before the Mules rallied for a game-two victory by a 7-6 score.
Sophomore
Renee Laczkowski (Erie, Colo./Erie) leads the team with a .452 average and team-best 57 hits, including team highs of 12 doubles, four home runs and 42 RBIs. Junior
Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) is also hitting better than .400 at .422 with 43 hits and a team-high 37 runs scored. She has seven doubles and a triple. She has drawn 19 walks for a .516 on-base percentage. Junior
Anika Pelekis (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) is hitting .353 with 48 hits that includes four doubles. She has driven in 25 runs and scored 24 times.
Freshman
Lexi Waring (Richboro, Pa./Council Rock South) leads the pitching staff with a 4.20 earned-run average. She has appeared in 27 games with a team-high 18 starts. She is 7-8 in the circle with one save over 103 1/3 innings. She has struck out 64 batters this season. Sophomore
Katie LaPlaunt (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) is 7-3 in the circle with a 4.64 ERA.
