Gettysburg begins search for CC title on Friday

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg will travel to Lancaster for one of the two semifinals of 2026 Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse championship tournament on Friday. Game time is 4 p.m.

In the five-team format, the third-seeded Bullets (12-5, 7-1 CC) travel to No. 2 Franklin & Marshall (8-8, 7-1 CC) while top-seeded Haverford (12-5, 7-1 CC) hosts the winner of Wednesday's first-round game between No. 4 Swarthmore (12-4, 5-3 CC) and No. 5 Washington (Md.) (10-6, 4-4 CC) in the other semifinal on Friday at 5 p.m. Wednesday's game time will be 7 p.m.

The semifinal winners will advance to Sunday's championship game, which will be played at the site of the highest remaining seed. Game time is 1 p.m.

Tickets will be sold for each round of the CC tournament and will be available soon on the Centennial ticketing homepage. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students age 6 through high school and senior citizens. Children five and under as well as students and staff from conference institutions are free.

The tournament's champion will earn the CC's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III tournament, slated to begin on May 9-10 with first- and second-round action at 16 sites. The NCAA field will be announced on Monday, May 4 at 10:30 a.m.
The Bullets are seeking their 14th conference title. It is the 24th tournament straight appearance for Gettysburg. The Bullets also in search of their 24th NCAA tournament bid.

In the regular-season meetings, Franklin & Marshall defeated Gettysburg 16-5 in Gettysburg on Apr. 1.

Senior Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) leads the attack with 54 goals, 27 assists and 81 points. Senior Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) is second on the team with 32 goals and 41 assists. Freshman Riley d'Entremont (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Radnor) is third on the squad with 38 points, ranking second with 20 assists to go with 18 goals.

Sophomore Ally Kennedy (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) leads the team with 21 caused turnovers and 30 ground balls while senior Nora Crowther (Randolph, N.J./Villa Walsh Academy) has 20 caused turnovers and 25 ground balls. Sophomore Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) leads the way with 101 draw controls while also adding 21 goals and seven assists. Passarello has 70 draw controls.

Freshman Marin McGuire (Summit, N.J./Summit) leads the goalkeeping corps with an 8.44 goals-against average and .404 save percentage.
