THE LEADERS
- Arina Zheliaskova (Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, Gymnasium 540) led the Bullets contributing to both of the team's wins. She first combined with Gabby Mazzeo (Bethel, Conn., Bethel) to win at first doubles 6-4 before winning by retirement at second singles.
FOR THE FOES
- Rebecca Bellick led the Diplomats with a 6-2, 6-0 win at third singles. She also partnered with Sahara Ahmad to take the 6-2 second doubles win.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Gabby Mazzeo (Bethel, Conn., Bethel) put up a fight with eight game wins at first singles before ultimately falling 7-5, 6-3.
- Emma Ward (Falls Church, Va., George Mason) went for the comeback forcing the second set into a tiebreaker before dropping the set 8-6 with the Diplomats taking No. 4 singles win 6-1, 7-6.
