Dickinson blanks Gettysburg 7-0 with six straight wins in singles play.
THE LEADERS
- Arina Zheliaskova (Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, Gymnasium 540) and Gabby Mazzeo (Bethel, Conn., Bethel) partnered to grab 6-2 win at first doubles.
- Mazzeo had seven game wins on the day herself at second singles with a strong comeback attempt in the second set before ultimately falling 6-2, 7-5.
FOR THE FOES
- Merve Uyumazturk led the Red Devils at No. 4 singles with the least amount of game losses winning 6-1, 6-0.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Eden Levkov (Summit, N.J., Summit) and Meaghan Dougherty (Heath, Texas, Rockwall-Heath) put up a fight at second doubles dropping the match by only three.
- Dougherty had a solid attempt at No. 5 singles earning five game wins however she fell to Dickinson 6-3, 6-2.
- Arina Zheliaskova (Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation, Gymnasium 540) secured five game wins at first singles four of which we won in her second set however the Red Devils came out on top 6-1, 6-4.
