THE SKINNY STORY
Franklin & Marshall, ranked 20th in the latest IWLCA Div. III poll, opened up a 13-7 lead in the third quarter before staving off a rally by No. 9 Gettysburg to record a 14-12 win in the 2026 Centennial Conference (CC) semifinals.

Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) was one of four players to score two goals for the Bullets, adding an assist and two ground balls.

Riley d'Entremont (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Radnor) opened the scoring, staking Gettysburg to a 1-0 lead just 1:16 into the game. Alexandra Proefrock and Lauren Pittman scored four-and-a-half minutes apart to turn the one-goal deficit into a one-goal lead. After
Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) finished a feed from
Riley Kenrick (Verona, N.J./Verona) to tie the game before Pittman and
Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) traded goals in the final 2:46 to keep the game level at 3-all after one quarter.
• Myranda Beebe opened the second-quarter scoring just 2:24 into the period but
Sarah Scollin (Orefield, Pa./Springside Chestnut Academy) and Kenrick both converted advantage goals to take a 5-4 lead with 8:29 to play. Pittman started a three-goal Diplomat counter in just under two minutes for a 7-5 lead before Kelly netted her second on a free-position tally and
Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) tied the game at 7-all with 2:46 showing. Pittman, though, gave Franklin & Marshall a one-goal lead at the intermission.
• Goals from five different Diplomats opened up a 13-7 lead with 4:06 to play. Advantage goals from Passarello and
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) 1 minute, 26 seconds apart closed the deficit to 13-9 before
Kali McDonnell (Norwich, Vt./Hanover) scored with just five seconds remaining to make it a three-goal margin entering the final period.
• A McDonnell free-position tally just over four minutes into the fourth quarter closed the deficit to two before Daly spun off the crease roll and finished to make it 13-12 and force an F&M timeout with 9:58 remaining. Sophie Harris halted the momentum and pushed the lead to two with 5:46 to play, holding on to advance to the title game.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Both teams finished with 24 shots.
• Franklin & Marshall advanced to the Centennial Conference championship in search of its fourth straight title.
