THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 13th in the latest IWLCA Div. III coaches' poll, jumped out to a 12-0 first-quarter lead to defeat Husson 26-4 in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Div. III women's lacrosse championship tournament at MIT.

THE LEADERS
Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley) highlighted a record-setting day for the Bullets, registering five points the opening frame to give her 361 for her career and pass Jordan Basso '24 as the program's all-time leader. Daly finished the day with four goals and one assist.
Grace Battle (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal School) corralled 18 draw controls for a single-game program and Centennial Conference record. The previous best by a Bullet was Steph Colson, who had 14 in a second-round NCAA game against Westfield State on May 13, 2018. The previous conference mark was 17.

FOR THE FOES
• Kate Boehmcke scored two of the four goals for the Eagles.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Sarah Scollin (Orefield, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) opened the scoring, finding the back of the net just 1:43 into the game. Just over two minutes later Maddie Passrello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) found a cutting Michaela Kelly (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) for a 2-0 lead. With 8:37 on the clock, Riley Kenrick (Verona, N.J./Verona) finished a solo run, starting a run of six goals in just 3 minutes, 3 seconds. Julia Daly scored three goals during that burst. After a second Kelly tally, Daly found Nina Marra (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) for the record-tying point with 3:46 showing to open up a 10-0 lead. Marra then hit Katie Westmoreland (Abington, Pa./Mt. St. Joseph Academy) 2:20 later and then found Daly with 51 ticks remaining for the record-breaking point.
Delaney Nolan (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) opened the second-quarter scoring just 29 seconds in with the first of her career-high four tallies. After Kate Evans (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) had the assist on Nolan's tally, she found the back of the net for the first two of her career-high five points. Skylar Matusz (Harrison, N.Y./Scarsdale) made it 15-0 before Gracie Gradner converted an advantage goal to break up the shutout with 9:00 on the clock. Riley d'Entremont (Radnor, Pa./Bryn Mawr) connected with Meghan Crane (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) and Nolan for first two of her three assists.  Matusz added a second goal to make it 18-1 at halftime.
• Laela Martinez scored on the opening shot of the second half, 35 seconds into the third quarter. Molly Bryson (Baldwin, Md./Notre Dame Prep) netted her first collegiate goal with 12:09 on the clock before Crane's second of the day got Gettysburg to 20 goals in an NCAA tournament game for the fifth time in program history with 9:01 in the third. Two Kate Boehmcke goals around another Crane marker made it 21-4 after three quarters.
• Two Nolan goals and Crane's career-high fifth keyed the 5-0 fourth quarter for the Bullets. Bryson had two helpers in the final stanza.
