THE REST OF THE STORY

Two Julia Daly goals just over four minutes apart stretched the lead to 3-0 with 7:18 showing. Two more Daly markers, including a free-position tally, in just 29 seconds extended the lead to 5-0 with 4:09 remaining in the opening stanza. Alexis Reinard got MIT on the board nearly a minute later to make it a 5-1 game after one.
• Passarello completed her hat trick with two goals in the first 6:12 of the second quarter to extend the lead to 7-1. Free-position goals from Annica Lam and Reinard nearly three minutes apart closed the deficit to 7-3 at the intermission.
Sarah Scollin (Orefield, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill Academy) stretched the lead to 8-3 just 69 seconds into the third. Passarello finished a Riley d'Entremont (Radnor, Pa./Bryn Mawr) feed to extend the advantage to six with 3:38 on the clock before Lam and Nina Petulla each found the back of the net in the final 2:04 of the quarter to close the deficit to 9-5 entering the final period.
