LANCASTER, Pa. – Three members of the Gettysburg softball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team, released on Wednesday.
Renee Laczkowski (Erie, Colo./Erie) earned Player of the Year honors. She is the eighth Bullet to claim the accolade.
Laczkowski joined
Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) on the first team while
Lily Mader (Las Vegas, Nev./Valley) was tabbed honorable mention.
Laczkowski, a sophomore third baseman, earned her second all-conference honor and first first-team nod after being tabbed second team as a freshman. Starting all 41 games, she hit a team-best .429 on the year with 57 hits and 42 RBIs. She scored 32 runs and walked 13 times. She also recorded a team-high 12 doubles and four home runs to go with two triples for a .639 slugging percentage. She recorded multiple hits in six of the last seven regular-season games and 18 times total this season.
Bergan, a junior outfielder, earned her third straight first-team all-conference nod. Starting all 33 games she played, she hit .413 with 45 hits. She led the team with 37 runs scored and rapped out eight doubles and a triple. She also drove in 13 runs from the leadoff spot and walked 19 times for a .504 on-base percentage. She was also 13-for-15 in stolen bases. She had at least one base hit in 27 games this season, including finishing the season on a 13-game hitting streak.
Mader, a senior catcher, earned her first all-conference honor. Starting 35 of her 36 appearances, she hit .269 this season with 25 hits that included seven doubles. She also drove in 15 runs and walked 11 times. As a catcher, she threw out six of 63 would-be base stealers.

Emily Bakker (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthrone) was Gettysburg's representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Bullets (20-21, 10-6 CC) earned the third seed in the CC tournament before falling twice in the conference tournament.
