THE LEADERS
•
Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) led the Bullets with three hits on the day, including a pair in game two.
FOR THE FOES

• Zach Novakowski had four hits on the day, including the three-run game-tying home run in the ninth inning of game two as part of his three-hit nightcap.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Julian Schultz was hit by a pitch with one out in the second before stealing second, moving to third on an infield single and scoring on a throwing error for a 1-0 Ramapo lead in game one.
• A Braden Schappert two-out hard-hit single up the middle and Zach Novakowski two-run home run to right made it 3-0 in the third.
• A
Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) leadoff triple in the fourth and
Brayden Casas (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) RBI groundout made it 3-1.
• Three straight two-out singles in the sixth doubled the Roadrunner run total before a Nick Pellegrino two-out first-pitch home in the seventh made it 7-1.
• The second game was scoreless until Casas struck out to start the home fifth but reached on a wild pitch.
Henry Smith (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle Area) followed with a single to left before
Brendan Laqui (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) beat out an infield single to load the bases.
Will Bercaw (Langhorne, Pa./The Pennington School) and
Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) drew back-to-back walks to make it 2-0. After a groundout cut down a run at the plate, a
Will Stellato sacrifice fly gave Gettysburg a 3-0 lead.
• That score held until the top of the ninth. A one-out fielding error and to Julian Caruso put two runners on base. After a fielder's choice on a broken bat accounted for the second out, Novakowski took a 1-2 pitch deep to right on a no-doubter to tie the game.
• Tied at 3-all in the top of the 12th, Schultz, Eric Knapp and Jack Tallent all singled to start the frame to break the deadlock. A sacrifice bunt and sacrifice fly made it 5-3 before a Caruso single up the middle and Schappert two-run double to the fence in left extended the advantage to 7-3. A walk and Pellegrino single stretched the lead to 8-3 and Kevin Penny worked around a two-out walk in the bottom of the inning for the win.
