GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Five members of the Gettysburg women's lacrosse team and one member of the field hockey team were named to the Division III Academic All-District at-large team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 8.
The following Bullets women's lacrosse players were honored as part of the program:
- Senior Lauren Bloch (Westfield, N.J./Westfield), an economics/public policy major
- Senior Julia Daly (McLean, Va./Langley), a business, organizations and management major
- Senior Camryn Epstein (Medford, N.J./Shawnee), a health sciences major
- Senior Maddie Passarello (West Chester, Pa./Unionville), a business, organizations and management major
- Senior Dillon Troy (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck), a business, organizations and management major
The following Bullets field hockey player was honored as part of the program:
- Junior Jillian Somers (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate), a business, organizations and management major
All six student-athletes were earning the honor for the first time in their careers.
To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and must be a starter or significant reserve.
Up to six eligible student-athletes per institution can be selected to the all-district team.
